Businessman and common-sense Conservative Tony Wied’s campaign released the following statement on news that extreme Democrat Kristin Lyerly is bringing radical liberal Mark Pocan to campaign in Green Bay today.

“The last thing WI-08 voters want is the insane agenda of Mark Pocan and his Madison values in this district,” said Wied Campaign Manager Aidan Strongreen. “Kristin Lyerly campaigning with a radical like Pocan, who has called to defund the police and abolish ICE, shows she’s a far-left Democrat who is completely out of step with Northeast Wisconsin voters.”

Multiple experts have downplayed Lyerly’s chances of winning the seat due to her extreme positions, including her sole focus on allowing abortion up until the moment of birth.

“I don’t know that it plays well given the conservative Catholic constituency here,” explained Michael Kraft, professor emeritus at UW-Green Bay.

And election expert Kyle Kondik said this about the race, “It was about a 15-point margin for Donald Trump. That is redder than any other district Democrats hold across the country…And that’s why I think that the Republicans are still pretty strong favorites to hold this seat.”
